Rant

I'm not meaning to be/sound bitchy or anything. But I really need to rant. -If you do not like rants then don't read.

Ok, it's just that people these days are always contradicting themselves on social networks I'm on, like Facebook and Instagram.

"Omg having a bad hair day I look like a cave woman"

"#ootd #wiwt excuse my fat hips and stomach"

-uploads a video/audio soundtrack on facebook- "Sorry for the bad singing""

Ok like, HELLOOOOOOO if you think you look like a cave woman, go do something about your hair instead of whining about it on Instagram. Or you can go google how to pose nicer a bit so people won't see how "fat" you are. Or you can simply not post these pictures/audio tracks/videos of yourself.

Would you like any of your unglam photos and videos to end up on the internet? NO. That is to say that if you really, truly think that you look ugly or suck at singing, would you put up evidence of how much you suck, on the net? If you say you would, then ok lor, you do what you want. But normally, people won't put it up.

So what does this mean? This means either:
1. You are one of the people who like unglam pics and videos of them on the internet. Congrats~
2. You don't really think that you look/sound that awful.

If it's the second one........ Why would you post it up, saying that it's awful? *drum roll* Because you are fishing for compliments.

Fishing for compliments

So why can't you be like any other person and just post a normal picture/video of yourself, either with no caption or else you can caption the video you did. Why must you say it's awful when it's not? Whenever I see such captions,  I'd be rolling my eyes while thinking wtf you look okay what, how is this ugly/fat?? Seriously. So when people compliment you and you can just flick them away and say "No la, you are so much better than me!", and then the other person will say "No you are really good!" and it goes on and on.

If you think you look good, you do. Many people post pictures of themselves without saying they look awful. And the picture looks good. If you think your hair is ugly, don't say it outright. You tend to be more critical and hard on yourself as compared to others anyway, so it's understandable if you think you're really having a bad hair day. Ok maybe it's reasonable if you're one of those super insecure people who wants to point out your flaws before others do so you won't feel upset when people point it out to you (if they ever do). But think about it- what if the person who didn't notice your hair in the first place, took a good look at your picture after reading your caption, and thought "yeah her hair really sucks". Would you feel good? So do yourself a favour. Don't pinpoint your flaws.

P.S I think your picture is pretty anyway.
P.P.S Well except that person's audio track is awful haha but nobody's perfect, at least you dared to post it up. Good job! +1 for bravery

I like surprises and surprising people.
